The Lord appears to Paul one night in a vision and encourages him while he is at Corinth. He tells Paul not to be afraid but to keep on speaking. These words are not unique to Paul. Throughout the Bible the Lord encourages his people by telling them not to fear. If you face fear this passage will be helpful to you. Paul is in Athens and is speaking to people who have little to no understanding of the Bible, God, sin or Jesus. So what does he do? He begins with God and creation and teaches them the storyline of the Bible. By doing this Paul builds a framework for the people to understand the gospel.
