_Every year around the holidays Southern Baptist Churches take up the Lottie Moon Christmas offering to help support our missionaries around the world. This week we started in Genesis 3 and did a quick run through the Bible and saw that Jesus is the promised offspring who will defeat Satan and undo the curse. Finally, as Christians we are given the task of taking this good news to the world. Genesis 3 | Missions Emphasis - Part II | Pastor Mike Hyatt | 34:56 ![]()

Every year around the holidays Southern Baptist Churches take up the Lottie Moon Christmas offering to help support our missionaries around the world. To kick off this time of giving for foreign missions we are doing a two-part series on missions. This week we looked at why we need missions. We went to Genesis 1-3 and saw how sin and rebellion entered the world and how the only solution to this problem is the gospel of Jesus Christ. _In Ezekiel 34 we learn that God is opposed to corrupt leadership. That certainly has implications for today and the type of leadership style you will utilize. But the solution the Lord proposes in Ezekiel is different than we might expect The solution will be that God himself will lead his people and he does this through Jesus Christ. Jesus is the good shepherd who leads his people and protects them perfectly. Ezekiel 34:1-16 & John 10:7-18 | The Lord Will Shepherd His People | Pastor Mike Hyatt | 35:00 ![]()
In 1 Corinthians 5 we learn that unrepentant sin is something that permeates and infects the entire church. Just as a little leaven causes the entire lump to rise so too does unrepentant sin spread and lead others to go down the same sinful path. That's how serious sin is. That's why Paul calls for the church at Corinth to cleanse out the leaven of malice and evil and be unleavened. 1 Corinthians 5 | Cleanse out the Leaven of Malice and Evil | Pastor Mike Hyatt | 29:04 ![]()
